About

Truce is a history show that dives deep inside the Christian Church. Using interviews with experts, music, games, and recipes, Truce uncovers the things that glom onto the Christian church so that we can protect our witness to the world. It’s all about how we got here and how we can do better.

Our Theology

Truce is a Christian show unlike any you’ve heard before. We work hard to stay theologically sound, while also questioning many of the idols held by the American Church.

We believe that all people have sinned and fallen short of God’s law. You, me, everyone. Because of that sin, we all deserve punishment from God. The great news is that if we repent of our sin and turn to Jesus then we are forgiven. Salvation is by faith alone, a free gift of God, not by works. The Bible is God’s revealed Word to us. Give it a read! Start in the book of Mark if you’re unfamiliar with the Bible.

While we frequently discuss the United States and world politics, Chris generally resists bringing his own politics into the show. It’s not about being conservative or liberal — it’s about being the Church. He’s okay with you being confused about his political stances.
